I have been seeing the Physio now for about three weeks and my knee's are making big progress. I have been strapping them a couple times a week and this seems to help stop the kneecap from moving too much and it has been fantastic to walk and NOT feel any pain going up stairs or walking up a slight hill.
The strengthening exercises I was given are to ensure that the VMO (inside thigh) muscle is working properly to support knee cap and I find that doing this everyday defnitely helps and I can feel the leg muscle getting stronger, especially when the tape is off my knee. I went to physio last night and did the muscle tests where you are linked up to a laptop and you have the little readers on the muscles to see who is working the best... they are going great! I can now do squats, step ups and one leg exercises (slowly).
I have been to the gym doing upper body work and swimming and I am excited now that I can involve some little leg exercises into my routine. Feeling very positive about the progress.
