Nearly Christmas

Well the count down is on to Christmas, things are going well, I have managed to loose 2kilos and keep my gym routine even though I have had a few christmas parties and social occasions. I am lucky though as my body responds to exercise so I see results quickly.

I just want to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!! Keep smiling and going hard to achieve the goals you want, enjoy the festivities and keep remembering all the hard work you have done this year!! Don't let one day set you back weeks.

Results from WW

Well I managed to loose 0.7kg which is pretty good for my first week back on WW considering I was not really following the points as strictly as I should of been. So happy with that. I am off to QLD tonight for a few days, so will see how this affects the weigh in next Wednesday.

Starting the Journey

My very own blog page, how exciting. Well today I am going very well, I have my first weigh in tomorrow at WW and not too sure how I will go due to the fact I have been exercising with weights and also enjoying sangria and cheesecake on the weekend. But it was the nicest cheesecake I have ever had and I did manage a pump and bodyjam class in the morning. I am more focused now, so I am not really too fussed about the scales tomorrow.

This is my second time doing WW, I got to my 10% goal last year and was very excited to get the key ring and also the gold card for life membership, something they are introducing now into Australia. I am looking forward to getting to my second goal weight of 69 kilos (Iam now 76kg) when I started last year I was 84kg, the heaviest I have ever been, which for me was really hard to deal with emotionally, it isnt the size of a person it is the way your weight makes you feel that affects your daily life, the biggest thing I have learnt is that no matter how "slim" a person is they still to deal with emotional ups and downs on a daily basis. I have just found out that my sister who is the same height as me weighs the same - I told her one day with time and age she will sneak up to me... so had a little chuckle as she said "can you forward me your WW notes", with pleasure hun, anything to help you!! Too funny....

I enjoy fitness, I love to motivate people and I am a down to earth gal who thrives on life. I am studying Fitness through FIA (Fitness Institute of Australia) and my goal is to become a Personal Trainer and specialise in Weight Management. I have been lucky to be active all my life and never to have much of a weight problem as I was always swimming, playing netball, basketball and I was lucky to grow up in a small mining town in WA where I could walk everywhere. So I am tall and lanky and need to loose some kilos to get fit and toned, but I did put on weight whilst overseas, I have experience yo yo dieting, fads and binge eating. (I used to say I was the bulimic who didnt throw up). But I have also been priviledged to be sporty and active and be aware of how food does influence the body during exericise.

I was lucky during my time in London to work as a Dietitian Assistant in the Middlesex Hospital - which have a great Department of Dietitians assisting patients with many treatments and illnesses whilst in hospital. I worked with children in the leukemia wards, the purple rinse ladies in the older dementia wards, chronically ill patients with terminal diseases etc Making sure they were getting the correct daily intake of food, fluids and how medication and their illness affected this. I am a curious person and I have a lot of patience with people and like to learn more.

Okay I will sign off for now. Dons
